Curious about cryotherapy? Cryogenic therapy is a treatment used for athletes, patients of inflammatory conditions, and anyone who wishes to enhance their wellness. In this video, Dr. Schwartz demonstrates cryotherapy with a patient, who enters the cryogenic chamber for a period of 3 minutes. Temperatures in the chamber reach as low as -270 degrees Fahrenheit. This allows the body to quickly re-oxygenate the blood and accelerate healing of the muscles and organs. Cryotherapy also increases your metabolism for several hours after treatment, helping to burn calories, reduce wrinkles, and reduce cellulite!

Video Transcript:

DR. STEVEN SCHWARTZ: Hi this is Dr. Schwartz from ChiroCare [of Florida] and we're going to demonstrate cryotherapy for you today.

Cryotherapy is a whole body treatment that helps with inflammation and healing of muscles with lot of different types of people that come and get it, from professional athletes to amateur athletes, as well as people with fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, or any type of inflammatory conditions. We can also help with post-surgical rehab patients, helping them heal quickly and decrease that inflammation so they can start rehab faster.

The patient is in the chamber for three minutes. The temperature goes all the way down to -273 degrees Fahrenheit, this allows the body to reoxygenate the blood very quickly, restoring much needed energy and oxygenated blood to the muscles and all the organs.

She just got done with her whole body cryotherapy session, helping her decrease inflammation and her overall well-being.

We look forward to seeing you.
