Whether you are just beginning your wellness journey, or are simply seeking new inspiration, podcasts are an easy and fun way to fulfill your daily dose of mental wellness, (and are great to tune into when you’re on the go). Check out a few of our favorite podcasts that focus on becoming a happier and healthier you – from the inside out.

1. The Cabral Concept

Dr. Stephen Cabral is a Functional Medicine Doctor who creates podcasts geared towards wellness, weight loss, and health for every day of the week. The daily themes are a way Cabral keeps listeners engaged and motivated throughout the week. Themes such as Motivation & Mindset Mondays, Total Wellness Tuesdays, and Weight Loss Wednesdays will have you checking in daily to learn about everything from weight loss supplements that actually work, to whether going gluten-free is right for you, and much, much more.

2. Soul on Fire

Jordan Younger (better known as @thebalancedblonde) is the author of Breaking Vegan and the creator of the health and wellness podcast Soul on Fire. The great thing about Jordan’s podcast is that she is truly interested in what her listeners want to hear, and responds accordingly. She loves interviewing experts and entrepreneurs in the wellness world, and her questions are always aligned with what people on the path to a healthier lifestyle would want to know. In each episode Jordan asks her interviewee what “sets their soul on fire,” hence the podcast’s name.

3. Realize Yourself

Kimberly Snyder makes you want to toss out your junk food and pick up a plant-fueled diet for good. With a cheerful yet calm and collected tone, Kimberly’s topics range from holiday eating pitfalls to at-home workouts, and everything in between. While the podcast focuses on fitness and nutrition, this New York Times bestselling author and clinical nutritionist isn’t afraid to touch on empowerment, emotional health, spirituality, and more.

4. TEDTalks Health

TEDTalks are known for their short, powerful speeches focusing on one topic for 18 minutes or less. TedTalks Health does not disappoint, with experts in the health, fitness, and wellness fields touching on subject matter from mental illness, to back pain, to safe dieting, and more. The best thing about TEDTalks is that you know when you tune in that you are listening to people well-versed and studied in the episode’s content topic. While guest speakers do offer opinions, they are always backed by fact, so you know that you are getting your information from a valid source.

5. The Tara Brach Podcast

Feeling like you need to check in with your happiness and mental health? This podcast might be perfect for you. Tara Brach, a leading western teacher of mindfulness, meditation, emotional healing, and spiritual awakening, will calm your mind while teaching you skills to live a more well-rounded and self-aware life. With weekly discussions centering on Buddhist teachings and practices, you will end each episode feeling better connected with the present, and your inner self.

6. The Ultimate Health Podcast

Hosts Jesse Chappus (retired chiropractor) and Marni Wasserman (nutritionist and natural chef) are advocates for real food, health, and healing. Although the two friends have very different lifestyles and routines, they share one commonality – the love of seeking out food, exercise routines, smoothie recipes, music, and more, for their listeners to feel more centered and nourished. They are bubbly and funny too, so it is always an entertaining listen.

8. Yoga Peeps

Although Yoga Peeps discontinued its podcast series in 2011, that is no reason to give the 85 episodes still available today a listen. Host Lara Cestone does a great job interviewing guests about more than simply “yoga.” Although the majority of guests are leaders in this field, they touch on topics such as spirituality, mental wellness, and a balanced life. The podcast serves as a reminder to “not sweat the small stuff,” and to keep in mind that your own inner wellness should come before everything else.

9. The One You Feed Podcast

Named among the Best Podcasts of 2014 by iTunes, Eric Zimmer hosts this podcast dedicated to coaching people living with addiction, anxiety, and depression to practice mindfulness, meditation, and other powerful habits. The intriguing and moving podcast was named after the Buddhist parable about a grandfather telling his grandchild that if two wolves are stuck out in the cold , with one representing negative emotions such as greed and guilt, and the other representing positive emotions such as love and kindness, which one lives? The answer is the one you feed.

10. Katy Says

Biomechanist Katy Bowman uses her podcast as a platform to spread information on health, ailments, and how to safely and effectively build back your strength if you are recovering from an injury or sickness.
