Dr. Jared Portnoy
My name is Dr. Jared Portnoy and I am a Chiropractic physician working out of Pompano, Florida. I was born and raised in South Florida and completed my entire education here. I am a graduate of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. I then took the journey over to Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. There I received a Bachelors in Biology, with a minor in Psychology. Once I finished my undergraduate education, I decided to pursue a doctorate in Chiropractic from Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Being raised in South Florida was a dream, and I wouldn’t have wanted it to be any other way. I am still proud to live here; I have a strong love for my South Florida community. While growing up, I watched my father work in family practice. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to help people. Growing up, I was always a people person; I could have a conversation with almost anyone. This trait still serves as a positive pillar in my practice today.
Some of my hobbies include traveling, sports, and spending time with family and friends. I have traveled all over the world, with Israel, Italy, London, and Japan being just a few places I’ve explored. I am a DIE-HARD Miami Heat fan and love watching football on Sundays. I have my loving family by my side and a group of close friends who I’ve known since the 3rd grade.
I am excited to continue to serve the South Florida community through the means of chiropractic care. I hope to help as many people as I can in my career.
What made you decide to pursue a career in chiropractic?
I became a chiropractor after working with a family friend who is also in the field. While shadowing and working, I saw the benefits of what chiropractic can do for a person, and I knew that I would be able to help a lot of people with their acute and chronic pains. In a world where opioids are being abused by a large number of the population, chiropractic medicine provides a natural relief of pain, allowing the body to heal itself. I learned that as a chiropractor, it is my job to help facilitate this healing process through different modalities and exercises, along with a routine adjustment.
